French Boarding Blunderbuss, 18th Century

This French Pirate Blunderbuss is based on an 18th Century example. The blunderbuss was very effective in close quarter combat due to the wide spread of the shot.

This blunderbuss comes in two versions, this, boarding blunderbuss and the pirate blunderbuss. The firing mechanism was "borrowed" from the British, as it has the Queen's Crown, Birmingham proof mark. The French blunderbuss' also have a very unusual Chinese inspired design along the top of the barrel.
