Navy Colt Pocket Revolver, USA 1862 - Steel

(Ref: DX1259G)

Colt introduced a five-shot revolver in .31 calibre in 1848 as the "Baby Dragoon". The next year he produced a revised version, equipped with a standard compound rammer, a choice of three barrel lengths, and a five- or six-shot cylinder, 350,000 were sold before it was superseded by a brass cartridge version in 1873.

Known Fault; There is a slight problem with the current batch of Navy Colt Pocket Revolvers. The firing mechanism on approx 80% of the revolvers work intermitently. When the hammer is cocked it will rotate the cylinder on all but one of the chamers. I'm afraid Denix will not offer any reduction on the price, so they are sold with this known defect. I'm afraid we cannot do anything about this.

Also, the grips on these pistols are not made from solid hardwood as you would expect, this pistol has a polymer grip with a wood effect finish.

  • Functional mechanisms
